Did this with director Jean-François Rivard and editor Guillaume Choquette. It was meant to be a tribute to Metropolis.

Jean-François shot the band, the robot and the dancer in front of a green screen... and asked us to come up with something to build the backgrounds.

I did all the 3D universe (modelling / animation / lighting / etc) for both the assembly line and the control room. I also did most of the vfx (light effects / circular rays / explosions, etc.). It was a lot of work, but a lot of fun too.

We sure would have liked to have a bit more time to polish things up, but we quite proud of ourselves, considering we were only three guys to do all the work. :)

Thanks a lot. Considering the director was busy working on a TV serie, it was pretty much a 2 person work... :) He was very nice though, gave us a lot of freedom, which is kinda cool...and kinda rare in this industry. :)
