This is really amazing. Lateralus is one of my favorite Tool songs so seeing this just really made my day. And your craftsmanship on the little character and he whole scheme is just blowing my mind.
Your're awesome haha.

I went and favorited all of these, because these are all artworks to themselves. Its just that they are related artworks.

All of these are great and personally, I was dumbstruck for a few seconds upon seeing the first one. I didn't even notice the name and already I heard tool play in my head. But even without that, this piece has a feel to it that makes me want to create a dystopian future just to break it down.

I may be coming off as slightly less then errudite here, but I blame that on the OD of brilliance this piece has given me. Damn you artist, why couldn't you remain at acceptable levels of brilliance ?

Thanks a lot... but nah, I'm not related to any of them...besides being a big fan of Adam's visual artistry... and of the whole band musically. Thanks for taking the time to comment.

The whole universe of the Tool Lateralus serie was hand made from old rusty car part gathered along the roads... The whole thing was then lit with some well placed xmas lights.

That was kinda fun.

Thanks for your interest.

I loved it, but the art style is more along Undertow than Lateralus.

That's an interesting point of view... but I was in no way trying to mimic Jones art style (although it's clearly a big inspiration, eh?)

This is something I've done for myself... not something that was made to look like it was a "real" Tool design.

That said... you're kinda right... it does have that "Prison Sex" and "Sober" look and feel written all over.

Have a nice day. :)

omg this is just great, I was just listening lateralus right now and felt like seeing something about it, this is just great, so professional, this is better thatn most real album covers well at the tool level, and it's just a school project. you should totally send it to them if you haven't done it already. do you have any pic of the setup like outside of the scene? I mean like where you can see everything?

Haha... I've explained it a few time already... it's a simple matter of gathering metal scrap, putting it together, lighting it with christmas lights, installing the little character somewhere in there and shooting the setup, making a few changes here and there, until you are satisfied with the result. :) Took me a long long time, but it was worth it.

Hey, I just took a peak at all of them (and faved them), and I simply must say that you are amazing. The talent and the patience this must have taken is extraordinary. The photos were perfect, great colour and angle to all of them. While looking, I was really reminded of the video for Sober. Was Adam Jones a large influence on you for this?

I think my favourite was #4. :D

Wow, This whole series was awesome beyond belief. The First two have to be my favorites because they have a really animated feel to them... I dont even know if that describes it the best for me but still awesome nonetheless.
